1. About Our Service

Red Rose Exam Prep is an educational video-streaming portal designed for students preparing for public examinations in Bangladesh. It organises video lessons into subjects and chapters and streams them through a privacy-respecting YouTube proxy so that YouTube's tracking mechanisms are minimised for students.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Service:

No personal accounts / registration. Students can browse and watch videos without creating an account or providing any personal information.
Administrator credentials. Admins log in with a shared secret token. We do not store usernames, email addresses, or passwords on our servers for admin access.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard HTTP request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status code). These logs are retained according to Cloudflare's own retention policy and are not used to build user profiles.
No cookies or local tracking. The Service does not set any first-party tracking cookies, fingerprinting scripts, or analytics beacons.

3. YouTube API Services

Red Rose Exam Prep uses the YouTube Data API (provided by Google LLC) to retrieve video metadata (titles, thumbnails, durations) and to embed video content. By using the Service, you are also subject to:

OAuth / YouTube account access: The Service does not request access to any user's YouTube account. No OAuth tokens linked to individual YouTube accounts are collected or stored.

YouTube API data we retrieve and store: Video IDs, titles, and thumbnail URLs are stored in our content database solely to populate the lesson catalogue. This data is publicly available metadata. We do not store viewing history tied to individual users.

4. How We Use Information

To serve educational video content to students.
To allow administrators to manage subjects, chapters, and videos.
To diagnose technical errors and maintain service reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Third-Party Services

Cloudflare Pages & Workers – hosts and serves the application globally. Cloudflare may process request metadata per its Privacy Policy.
YouTube / Google – provides video streaming and Data API services per the Google Privacy Policy.
GitHub – hosts the source code repository. Deployment is triggered automatically via GitHub Actions.

No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect personal data from students, there is nothing to delete for ordinary visitors.

YouTube API data revocation: To request that we remove any YouTube-API-sourced data associated with your content from our platform, please contact us at the email address below. We will process such requests within 30 days in accordance with the YouTube API Terms.

Server logs held by Cloudflare are subject to Cloudflare's own retention schedule; we do not control those directly, but you may contact Cloudflare for their data-deletion process.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for secondary and higher-secondary students in Bangladesh. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical safeguards including HTTPS-only access (enforced by Cloudflare), hashed or tokenised admin credentials, and restricted API access. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we encourage users not to share sensitive personal information through the platform.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
